Entrepreneur Joseph Bloor founded the Village of Yorkville in 1830, and it has always been the heart and soul of Toronto. The area is distinguished by Victorian Mews, quaint residential streets, vibrant flower baskets and picturesque gardens.

Bloor-Yorkville has undergone many transformations and continues to blossom as a dynamic urban centre. In the 1960s, culture flourished in Bloor-Yorkville, as did some of Canada's celebrated musical talents, including Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Following the major growth and expansion of the 1980s, numerous changes have been made to the area.
