Welcome to Bloor-Yorkville Icefest 2016
Expressions Of Love
Saturday, February 20 & Sunday, February 21 • 12 noon – 5 pm Village of Yorkville Park
Cumberland Street & Bellair Street will be closed to traffic along the park perimeter.
Fall in love with Bloor-Yorkville at the 11th annual Icefest!
Toronto’s premier cultural district will celebrate this landmark year, by transforming into a showcase of incredible ice sculptures and live ice carving demonstrations, for the entire family to enjoy.
Inspired by Heart Month and the Valentine’s Day season, this year’s Expressions of Love theme will transform the neighbourhood into a magical showcase of 20,000 lbs. of crystal clear ice, sculpted into iconic expressions of amour. Patrons can expect to be dazzled by these ice creations, which will include an iconic LOVE sculpture, a giant tribute to world peace, an abstract couple embracing, a winter-themed heart, and a depiction of the ultimate love story – Romeo & Juliet!
Live DJ featuring the sounds of Bellosound.
Donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
February is Heart Month and the Bloor-Yorkville BIA is proud to continue supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation during Icefest.
For a donation of $2, visitors can sample tasty “Maple Syrup Taffy” from 1 pm – 4 pm each day on Cumberland Street.
We will be distributing “Ice Kiddie Cubes” with a collectible toy inside, at 2 pm each day, in the Village of Yorkville Park, for a $2 donation.
EVENT VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED BY THE HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO
There will be a selection of our neighbourhood’s fine restaurants and retailers, serving hot drinks, soup, cheesecake, fresh baked pretzels and more for all visitors (prices may vary). These include: Carol’s Cheesecake Company, Nespresso, Whole Foods-Yorkville and Sassafraz.
This is an all ages, family friendly, FREE event; all you have to do is wear warm clothes, and don’t forget a camera to capture the moments in ice forever!
