Bloor-Yorkville is in Bloom with Fleurs de Villes

We are so excited to announce one of our newest Annual Events! Fleurs de Villes: Bloor-Yorkville  is a one-of-a-kind, floral event bringing together local florists, local businesses and the general public. Bloor-Yorkville will be “flower-bombed” from August 5th to August 9th. We invite you to walk our curated floral trail, which will take you throughout the neighbourhood. Designed to be admired from a safe distance, this event will be an uplifting experience during one of our generation’s most difficult times.

Pop-Up Floral Installations:

We invite you to begin your journey at the Manulife Centre (55 Bloor Street West). You will be able to pick up a printed map, at the concierge desk, or download the details to your smartphone (details on how to do this will be provided via on-site signage). The journey will lead you to discover 30 creative displays placed throughout the neighbourhood, popping up where you least expect them! You will spot everything from fashion-forward mannequins,  floral doorways, unique window displays, and much more. Details on each specific display location can be found online here.

Incredible local florists will be putting their most creative work on display! The following florists will be participating in this event: Fresh Florals, Ana Hana Floral Designs & Co., Lena’s Floral Designs, Perwinkle Flowers, Beata Kaas, Floresco, DT Floral and Décor, Oudalova, Sverta Shvedenkova, Joezel, Crow in White, Jackie-O, RZY Strawberry Botanicals Inc., The Local Flower Collection.

Fleurs de Villes Chien

It’s no secret that the Bloor-Yorkville community has a love for its puppy counterparts. A quick jaunt down the street and you’ll see a number of pups out for their daily stroll. Paying homage to this is the Fleurs de Villes Chien exhibit, taking place at Yorkville Village (136 Yorkville Avenue). Stop by The Oval (just inside Yorkville Avenue entrance) to explore six playful exhibits focused on all things chien!

Fresh Flower Market Stalls

On Sunday, August 9th, various local vendors will have flower stalls set up selling fresh bouquets. This initiative is in support of Breast Cancer Canada. These gorgeous arrangements are the perfect treat to bring home for you or a loved one. The flower stalls will be located at the following spaces:

Pusateri’s, 57 Yorkville Avenue
Manulife Centre, 55 Bloor Street West
Hudson’s Bay Centre, 44 Bloor Street East
Yorkville Lane, 162 Cumberland Street
99 Yorkville Courtyard
92 Yorkville Avenue

There will also be fresh roses for sale each day from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm outside the Manulife Centre.

Safety Protocol

Exploring this fantastic event, in a safe manner, is our ultimate priority. The installations will be placed far apart to ensure distancing is possible. We ask everyone to adhere to local guidelines of physical distancing and wearing face masks indoors. Taking the time to enjoy, in a responsible way, will make sure we can all experience the uplifting nature of this beautiful initiative. We encourage everyone to review the Ontario Government safety guidelines.
