Bloor-Yorkville Welcomes TIFF Back to the Neighbourhood

This September, Yorkville will once again take centre stage during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as Rogers transforms Yorkville Avenue into an immersive red-carpet destination celebrating the excitement, culture, and magic of cinema.

From the evening of Thursday, September 10th to Sunday, September 13th, the Rogers Red Carpet will bring four days of free entertainment and programming to Yorkville Avenue between Bellair Street and Hazelton Avenue. Festival goers can enjoy interactive experiences, shareable photo moments, live musical performances and outdoor movie screenings in the heart of the neighbourhood.

Live Music Takes Centre Stage

The fully programmed stage will feature a dynamic lineup of musical performances, including Kid Koala, Jeremie Albino, and The 99s, as well as the returning Casa Loma Orchestra, joined by members of the E-Street Band.

Canadian rock icons Our Lady Peace will also take the stage for a special performance and Q&A ahead of the world premiere of Gail, a music documentary following a superfan during the band’s 30th anniversary Canadian tour.

An Open-Air Cinema Experience

As the sun sets, Yorkville Avenue will transform into an open-air movie theatre featuring selections from TIFF’s 2026 Short Cuts Program, accompanied by filmmaker fireside chats.

The programming will also include screenings of TIFF People’s Choice Award-winning films over the years, including La La Land, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and The Princess Bride.

Bringing the TIFF Experience to Yorkville

The Rogers Red Carpet offers visitors the opportunity to experience the energy and glamour of TIFF beyond the theatre, with free programming designed to bring people together in one of Toronto’s most celebrated neighbourhoods.

Rogers will also offer more than 5,000 prizes and giveaways throughout the Festival, including opportunities for Rogers’ customers to access exclusive experiences, film tickets and concessions at the Yorkville movie screenings.

With live music, outdoor films, interactive experiences, and plenty of red-carpet excitement, Yorkville will be a must-visit destination during TIFF’s opening weekend.
