Last weekend we kicked off the season with our annual Holiday Magic lighting ceremony and concert! We wish to thank everyone who joined us in the Village of Yorkville Park for what was truly an exciting evening.
Our host, Danielle Graham, welcomed Nefe to open the show, followed by Ruth B. who treated eventgoers to a full-length concert. She performed her Juno-award-winning hit, Lost Boy as well as new music including Slow Fade and Real Love.
The performances set to the glittering lights throughout the park brought out nearly 3000 guests of all ages! We’re grateful for everyone who joined us and would like to extend an extra-special thank you to our generous sponsors. The annual event raises funds for CANFAR (The Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research), which wouldn’t be possible without the contributions from The Hazelton Hotel (Gold Sponsor) Manulife Centre, CTV (Silver Sponsors), Yorkville Village, ZAZA Espresso (Bronze Sponsors), and the Toronto Star (Print Media Sponsor). We would also like to extend a special thank you to our on-site vendors the ROM and Whole Foods.
New this year we have 138 lit trees along Bloor Street! We’re excited to share this new addition to the neighbourhood and hope you take a moment to enjoy the twinkling display.
There’s still much festive fun to be had throughout the rest of December with Traditional Carolers performing around Bloor-Yorkville on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Our enchanting lights will remain lit throughout the winter season, warming up our beautiful neighbourhood as the temperatures drop.
