Join CANFAR at Can You Do Lunch?

We are pleased to announce our continued support of CANFAR’S (Canadian Foundation for Aids Research) Can You Do Lunch? event as an official Community Partner. Can You do Lunch? is an annual fundraising and network event which takes place annually at the Four Seasons Hotel. To date, through ongoing fundraising efforts and events, CANFAR has raised more than $26 million for HIV/AIDS research projects. This funding has helped lead to tremendous breakthroughs in HIV prevention, testing, access to treatment, combatting stigma, and the search for a cure. Bloor-Yorkville is proud to be a part of this fantastic charity that contributes extensively to the advancement of HIV knowledge.

Now in its 12th year, CYDL? is a fun way to participate in an important cause. Gathering in the ARIA ballroom, guests enjoy a seasonally-themed lunch, while meeting other like-minded individuals. The event features a panel discussion with sector experts, people living with HIV and advocates, as well as CANFAR’s famed silent auction, which contributes immensely to the fundraising. This year’s luncheon will be co-chaired by Gallant Law, Andrea Anders, and Muluba Habanyama.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the luncheon! If you’re able to attend, we encourage you to consider participating. Attendance directly impacts CANFAR’s efforts in the following ways:

  • Launching national awareness campaigns to reach underserved communities and connect them to testing, treatment, and care;
  • Removing barriers to testing and care for underserved key populations and communities by investing in new testing approaches and more accessible places and spaces with culturally appropriate supports;
  • Funding research by and for members of these key populations and communities that will directly address the communities’ needs
