Liss Gallery, Saturday May 31st
On Saturday, May 31st Liss Gallery welcomes internationally recognized flamenco guitarist Roger Scannura as he performs as part of Toronto’s new jazz festival ‘JazzInToronto Community Celebration’.
Celebrate the city’s richly diverse local talent pool. Produced by musicians Lina Welch and Ori Dagan – who collectively run JazzInToronto, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting live music – the festival is a young grassroots affair fueled by a passion for community.
A leading exponent of Nuevo Flamenco, The Globe And Mail describes Scannura as, “..a gifted composer whose music is as beautiful as it is haunting”.
