Heat Things Up with ROM After Dark

 

ROM After Dark (RAD), the Museum’s monthly soiree returns for the winter season.

As the cold north wind blows, guests will warm their spirits Friday evenings with ROM After Dark – the Museum’s stylish monthly social event for adults (19+). From 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. visitors can check their snow-laden coats and leisurely wander through ROM’s galleries while they mingle and enjoy diverse special exhibitions. At each RAD event, guests will be presented with curated entertainment, art experiences, diverse local artisanal food and beverage selections – all within one of Toronto’s most unique and iconic venues. Tickets include one drink ticket and complimentary coat check.

January 26, 2024RAD: Fashion 4 Life – Celebrating Noelle Hamlyn: Lifers and sustainable fashion, this night will feature interactive runway installation and video projection by Indigenous Fashion Arts. RAD will include a unique once-in-a-lifetime performance by Mauvey with a full band and string quartet. Vancouver’s Mauvey bounces between woozy R&B and anthemic electro-pop, with a central message of Love. Also performing is multi-instrumentalist R&B singer-songwriter Sebastian Gaskin. This RAD includes access to all exhibitions. Tickets on sale now.

  • February 16, 2024 – RAD: Lunar Love. Celebrate Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day in one night with disco, indie, math rock, and ’90s acoustic pop influenced local Toronto band Tiger Balm; queer Asian collective New Ho Queen’s party of dance, performance, and projections focused on increasing queer Asian visibility; and DJ Paul Chin. Save the moment and take a selfie station photo with your partner or best friends. Includes access to Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Death: Life’s Greatest Mystery and a last chance to see Noelle Hamlyn: Lifers.
  • March 8, 2024 – RAD: Celebrate International Women’s Day recognizes this important annual event. Women-identifying artists from theatre, music and dance will engage the important topics. This RAD will feature women-identifying artists from theatre, music and dance will engage the important topics. Included are exhibitions Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Death: Life’s Greatest Mystery.
  • March 22, 2024 – RAD: Play brings the fun, featuring interactive performances, a burlesque show and Bollywood Dance, along with flamenco dance workshops by FabCollab. Get your game on with interactive installations and large-scale video games. Included are exhibitions Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Death: Life’s Greatest Mystery.
