The Heliconian Club: Women Living in the Arts
Opening March 7 and running until August 30, 2026
Art Gallery of Ontario
The works of ten historic Heliconian visual artists will be exhibited at the AGO in the Walter Trier Gallery from March 7 to Aug. 30th. Seventeen works, all owned by the AGO, will be on display, some for the first time ever.
This exhibition is a triumph for the Heliconian Club that has supported “Women Living in the Arts” since 1909.
To honour its opening on March 7th, Angie Littlefield, Heliconian Club President and an art historian, will lead informal guided tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. to explain more about the artists, the Heliconian Club and another special AGO event on April 10th, 6-8 p.m. Heliconians Unshelved.
Free with AGO admission.
