CRUSH reveals how pop art is much more than a move ment inspired by western commercial culture, but also a language of protest and celebration – a language that is more relevant today than ever. Crush is an immersive art exhibition that embraces imagination while expanding the boundaries of perception. Selected works of art include paintings, prints and sculptures that invite curiosity and discovery while telling a story of a world we strive for of total inclusion, diversity, and equality.
Featured artists include: Bruno Billio, Terran McNeely, Carlos Benzecri, Bareket, Darryl Mabey and evalesco11.
100% of the profits will go to the 6 Canadian artists that embody freedom of expression through art, as well as Rainbow Railroad.
Rainbow Railroad is global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm. As a result of Rainbow Railroad, more LGBTQI+ individuals will be able to access lives free from persecution.
