Join us! Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE: Bloor-Yorkville

We’re thrilled to welcome you back to our fourth annual Fleurs de Villes: Bloor-Yorkville initiative. The theme this year is ARTISTEa fresh floral celebration inspired by remarkable artists spanning various disciplines. This special event brings together some of  Toronto’s top floral talent in collaboration with our local businesses to create one-of-a-kind floral installations. Just in time for Mother’s Day, we invite you to walk our curated floral trail any time between May 8th to May 12th, discovering floral mannequins, installations, workshops, and market stalls all designed with the theme of Artiste in mind! This is a free event, open to all ages.

Toronto’s Top Floral Talent Showcased in Bloor-Yorkville Floral Trail

The event is formatted as a self-guided tour with a detailed event map to help guide the experience. Over 35 displays will be placed throughout the neighbourhood, including an Andy Warhol-inspired Campbell’s Soup Entranceway, Irises by van Gogh, a Painter’s Palette, Monet’s Women in a Garden, a Spring Awakening Picture Frame, and many more unique interpretations inspired by artist’s such as Sage Barnes, Keith Haring, the Group of Seven, and Alex Katz.

A number of our art galleries will have installations on display, perfectly tying into the Artiste theme. These include a “Boy with Bears Floral Sculpture,” at Galerie LeRoyer, “Emily Carr Floral Sculpture,” at Heffel Fine Art Auction House, “Gallery Gevik Sculpture,” at Gallery Gevik, and “Florals of Cow Sculpture,” at Mira Goddard Gallery. 

Fleurs de Villes Pop-Up Floral Installations:

Installations will be on display from 10 am – 6 pm daily. Printed maps are available for pick up at the Manulife Centre and the W Hotel, or can be picked up from an on-site ambassador throughout the event. We encourage you to take a look and plan out your day ahead of time, so you don’t miss any of our beautiful stops along the trail! View the installation locations online here.

Musical Moments

Adding to the experience is our Musical Moments initiative taking place Saturday, May 11th, and Sunday, May 12th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (weather permitting).

As you stroll through the neighbourhood you’ll find local musicians Danielle Bassels, Juan Arce Trio, and Kalya Ramu Trio playing live outdoors!

Flower Market

Perfectly timed for Mother’s Day, stop by our flower market, taking place Saturday, May 11th from 11 am – 6 pm. Market stalls will be set up at the Village of Yorkville Park, the Manulife Centre, and Yorkville Lane. Local florists will have stunning fresh arrangements ready to bring home!

Several of our restaurants are participating with floral cocktails! Stop for refreshments along the trail at Constantine Restaurant at the Anndore HouseONE at the Hazelton Hotel and the Living Room at the W Hotel for a St. Germain pop-up (4 pm – 7 pm, throughout the event).

Unwind and let out your inner flower power artiste at W Toronto’s one-of-a-kind floral workshop. Create your arrangement taking inspiration from W’s signature art piece ‘Self-Care’, encouraging connection to nature, self-reflection & rejuvenation. Bring on the blooms in our guided floral-making class with Inspire Design Studio while sipping on W-curated beverages. Limited seats are available.

High Beau-Tea: Fleurs de Villes Edition

Pamper yourself with High Beau-Tea, W Toronto’s beauty-inspired high tea, featuring artistic elements from the hotel for Fleurs de Villes Artiste. Featuring curated sweet & savoury petit fours, indulge in edible strawberry ‘lipsticks’, ruby fudge ‘chapeaux’, clotted ‘night’ cream and more. Book ahead to secure your spot.

Unveil your inner artist and indulge the senses with W Toronto’s Chocolate Paint & Wine Experience, with a floral spin for Fleurs de Villes Artiste. In this unique workshop, explore the world of chocolate artistry under the guidance W’s expert pastry chefs and chocolatiers, while sipping a selection of wine. Paint your edible masterpiece and elevate your tastebuds every Saturday afternoon.
