With Toronto’s rather balmy November weather, it’s hard to believe the holiday season is approaching! As we head into mid-November we’re getting ready to light up Bloor-Yorkville. With respect to public safety, we won’t be hosting our annual concert this year, but we invite you to enjoy our one-of-a-kind Holiday Magic light display.

Launching November 21st, the Village of Yorkville Park will be lit with a variety of unique displays, from our twinkling light tunnel, to our oversize snowflakes, gorgeous Christmas tree, and more. With takeout available and numerous coffee shops to choose some, our Holiday Magic lights display make for a perfect, safe night out.

Bloor Street Transformed into Holiday Light Display

You will not want to miss our stunning Crown Lights. Having just launched last season, our Crown Lights transform Bloor Street from Avenue Road to Church Street with 139 lit up trees! This breathtaking display is safe for our young trees, while lending even more beauty to our neighbourhood.

Urban Campfire Benches Launch On Bloor Street

We’re also incredibly excited to announce the launch of our brand new Bloor Street “Urban Campfire” Benches. Just in time for the holidays, these cozy benches will be a permanent fixture. Designed with programmable lighting, the 60 new benches feature endless colour options that will be on theme for not only the holidays, but each season in between.

Of our brand new launch, our Executive Director says it best:

“Holiday lighting throughout the neighbourhood is an annual tradition that the community looks forward to each year, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce the Urban Campfire Benches with this year’s display of lights.” says Briar de Lange, Executive Director of the Bloor-Yorkville BIA. “The festive lighting and newly installed benches will further set
the stage for the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood as a destination within the City and allow us to continue with annual traditions safely during these challenging times.”

We know it’s been a difficult year, but we’re so excited to lend some warmth and cheer to the season. We hope to see you out enjoying our Holiday Magic displays and brand new benches!
