Bloor-Yorkville BIA

The Bloor-Yorkville BIA was founded on July 22, 1985, in response to the tremendous commercial, retail, residential and tourist growth that began in Toronto, at that time. The Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area has a membership of nearly 1,400 businesses. Any business within our boundaries (including property owners/managers) is automatically a BIA member, so long as they pay commercial property taxes to the City of Toronto and occupy space or own a building that has been commercially assessed. BIA members pay an special levy, in addition to their commercial property taxes to fund the BIA. The basic BIA boundaries are north up to Scollard Street, south down to Charles Street, east to St. Paul’s Square, and west to the west side of Avenue Road. If you are a local business, you can confirm whether your property is within the boundaries by contacting our office.
