Yakitori Momiji

The first Japanese heritage yakitori counter in Toronto. Led by yakitori chef, Takuma Mukouzaka.

Momiji (椛) means maple leaf in Japanese – the leaf at its most beautiful, just before it falls. Yakitori shares that same sense of perfect timing, when fire, skill, and precision come together.

The maple leaf connects our Japanese roots with our Canadian home. As Toronto’s first dedicated yakitori counter, Momiji brings this tradition to the city through an intimate tasting menu guided by seasonality, fire, and respect for every part of the chicken.
