Get ready to view Hot Docs from home! Each year, Toronto looks forward to the fantastic Hot Docs film festival, the world’s largest documentary festival. Bloor-Yorkville has been a proud Community Partner for many years and we are proud to return for the 2020 season! Adapting to the current landscape, Hot Docs has gone online for this season, with screenings taking place from May 28th to June 6th. The documentaries are geo-blocked exclusively to Ontario with audiences able to stream over 140 official selections, watch pre-recorded Q&A’s, and partake in virtual live events.
Tickets are available in singles ($9 per film or $8 for Hot Docs Members) or as packages of 5-film streaming bundles ($40 or $36 for Hot Docs Members).
Gift certificates are also available for those wanting to share doc-love! We encourage you to browse this year’s offerings; the themes of which are detailed below:
For anyone who may be unfamiliar with streaming, the Hot Docs team has put together a tutorial as well as FAQ page online here. Once tickets are purchases, viewers have 48 hours to watch their selection. We hope you can enjoy this year’s “from home” offerings as we continue to help support this fantastic event!
