Bloor-Yorkville is a proud sponsor of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and we’re thrilled to welcome them back to the neighbourhood for their 36th anniversary! From June 23th – to July 2rd, we invite you to experience ten days of free, spectacular jazz performances from some of the most celebrated artists. Join us as we celebrate summer, enjoy free concerts, and explore the best that Bloor-Yorkville has to offer!

Opening Weekend with Ashanti and BADBADNOTGOOD

You won’t want to miss the opening weekend performances! The festival kicks off with a weekend of must-see shows, including a performances from international stars Ashanti and Jully Black, along with Toronto-based BADBADNOTGOOD. Opening night, Friday June 23rd, will open with a bang as Jully Black performs at the Old Grove stage at 91 Charles Street West. This free outdoor venue welcomes guests to bring blankets, enjoy the food and beverage offerings, and enjoy a true “festival” vibe.

Be sure to catch the internationally-recognized BADBADNOTGOOD playing in their hometown! They’ll be performing at 9 PM on Saturday night (June 24th) at The Avenue stage (Queens Park at Bloor Street), followed by Ashanti who will close out opening weekend on Sunday night (June 25th) at 9 pm, also at The Avenue. The Village

 

The Village of Yorkville Park (115 Cumberland Street) will host two stages throughout the festival, with bands performing daily from 2:20 pm – 8:30 pm. Both Village stages will include a mix of seated and standing room and the entire area will be licensed for food and beverages, making for a fantastic day of free performances. The Village schedule includes shows from Magnolia Brass Band, Debi Botos Quintet, Malika Tirolien and many others, including a Toronto Arts Foundation Emerging Jazz Artist Award presentation. 

Late Night Jam Sessions at the Pilot

For those who can’t get enough of the festival, stop by The Pilot for the official festival Late Night Jam at 10 pm every night. The Pilot is no stranger to live music and their team is looking forward to hosting music lovers and musicians! Their full menu will be available as well, so you can refuel before heading home.
