As we head into the holidays (which we officially kick off this weekend with Holiday Magic!) and look forward to 2020, we’ve taken a look back at the past year. With iconic flagship openings such as DIOR and Versace, vast redesigns at BIRKS and Aritizia, and of course the opening of EATALY‘s first Canadian location, there’s been no shortage of excitement.
The ongoing transformation of the area, brought to life with exciting renovations, new developments, and beautiful streetscape, ensure that there’s always much to do and much to see. This year, you’ll notice new Crown Lights for the winter season that will light up Bloor Street for the first time! With an innovative design, the Crown Lights were created specifically to ensure no damage is caused to the young trees.

Over the past year, we introduced a new brand campaign for the Bloor-Yorkville area. This included a new logo, brand new website, and outdoor creative campaign (including pole banners, transit shelters, and TTC subway posters). The strategy with the campaign was to reflect and support the vibrancy and ever-evolving nature of the area.
Additionally, our major neighbourhood events such as Bloor-Yorkville Icefest, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Yorkville Exotic Car Show and Toronto Fashion Week attracted people from all over, filling the area with excitement.
The innovative retailers, restaurants, and services offered in our neighbourhood truly make it like no place else. Revisit the year with us as we take a look at the 2018-2019 season in Bloor-Yorkville and get a sneak peak at what to look forward to in 2020!
