Participants can choose which charity they wish to support and are able to participate in a series of fund-raising contests throughout the year, leading up to the September race. Over the last 11 years, the Constantine Yorkville Run has raised over 3 million dollars for local charity groups.
You might not realize Bloor-Yorkville is a gateway to a number of outdoor trails. For longer distance walks or runs, head north from central Yorkville (about a 30 minute walk) to the David Balfour Park Trail, where you can walk, jog, run or cycle along the ravine. The trail creates a 2.7 km loop, offering the perfect escape into nature. Another great option is to head from Bloor-Yorkville to the Evergreen Brickworks trails (about a 35-minute walk). Without any need to hop in a car, both of these are great ways to get your steps in, while spending more time outdoors.
